José Moralez-Martinez the student support specialist at our newest site, Berea High School. He transitioned to this position after serving as the 8th Grade Student Support Specialist at Lakeview Middle School for 2 years.
Born in México City, México, he moved to Greenville, SC at a young age and calls Greenville his home. José’s drive for service and giving back started young as he helped Hispanic families translate materials and conversations. His passion for service has followed him through his time at J.L Mann High School and Furman University, where he was actively involved with Key Club, Habitat for Humanity, Furman FUEL the Community, and Bridges to a Brighter Future.
José graduated from Furman University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences focusing on all aspects of health and wellness: physical, nutritional, social, mental, and life behaviors. He is excited to pioneer the Communities In Schools’ program at Berea High and looks forward to motivating students to achieve their goals, as his mentors did for him.
