Communities In Schools is changing the picture of education in Greenville County. Our team of diverse, positive leaders helps keep kids in school, eliminate barriers to success, and open doors to opportunities.

Communities In Schools Afterschool Programs aim to impact the whole child: academic enrichment and review, social- and emotional-learning, health and wellness, hobbies and special skills, behavior modification, college/career exploration, and family involvement.

We are currently seeking caring, qualified adults who want to make a difference in our programs at the following elementary school sites as Afterschool InstructorsAlexander, Chandler Creek, Grove, and Welcome.  

Afterschool Instructors must be available from 2:15pm-5:45pm on Mondays-Thursdays, and typically work 13-15 hours per week with some variation to be determined per assigned site.

Afterschool Instructors receive paid planning time, paid staff meetings, and a training bonus. 

We employ on multiple levels:  those with a high school diploma, a college degree, and/or a South Carolina state teacher certification, thus salaries range from $11.50 to $22.50 per hour

Additionally, we are always interested in partnering with interns, volunteers, and community partners, and are currently in need of caring adults to provide opportunities for both our elementary and middle school programs during out-of-school times.
